Usage Notes

For Researchers

  • Confidence levels indicate research depth. LOW confidence cases may have minimal sourcing.
  • Sources count reflects verified, independent sources. Our methodology requires 3+ sources for HIGH confidence.
  • Cross-reference with the full dossiers (linked via dossier_url) for complete source documentation.

For Journalists

  • All data is CC0 (public domain). No attribution required, but we appreciate it.
  • We recommend linking to the full dossier when citing specific cases.

For Data Analysts

  • JSON exports include full metadata with field descriptions.
  • Facility coordinates use WGS84 (standard GPS).
  • Tags are semicolon-separated for easy splitting.
  • Dates are in ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD).

Methodology

  • See our methodology for verification standards, source reliability tiers, and confidence scoring.
  • This project follows Bellingcat-style open source intelligence practices.
  • Every claim is verified through multiple independent sources.
